SYSTEM: Unplanned Internet Outage

August 5, 2018

UPDATE (8/5/18 2:40pm): Technicians for the utility company are onsite installing new fiber optic cabling. Current estimates indicate internet services will be restored for MSJC by 6pm.

 

MSJC is experiencing an unplanned internet services outage as of Saturday, 8/4/2018, at 5:15 pm PST due to a car accident that severed fiber optic communication lines in the San Jacinto area.  Information Technology staff are working with MSJC’s internet service provider to restore access. The following primary web services are unavailable during this outage: Institutional Website (www.msjc.edu), EagleAdvisor (ea.msjc.edu), Canvas (msjc.instructure.com), MSJC Account Management (login.msjc.edu), and Faculty/Staff E-mail.

SYSTEM: Unplanned Authentication Outage

August 14, 2018

Between 4:13 PM and 4:47 PM on 8/14/2018, MSJC experienced an outage of the authentication system MyMSJC Account Management. During this time, users were not able to sign on to Canvas or EagleAdvisor, but if they were already signed in, they would have been able to continue using those services.
